Largely, the ideas for these editorials come about from one of three things: trends we notice in episodes that we've seen lately, an aspect of the show brought up in a discussion we've had, or a recent event or episode airing.

We do, on occasion, accept user-submitted editorials. Those editorials must meet a very high standard, however, so only send one in if you think it's of approriate length, has been checked for spelling errors, and is generally worth adding. If you think your piece meets these criteria, head over to the Contact page.

We try, on the most part, to avoid list-making and overt attempts at humor. The "20 Signs You're Obsessed..." series is a staggering break with both of these rules.

Eric has written six longer-form editorials that he's most proud of. They are "The Simpsons" and Blacks, A Comedy of Errors, An Interesting Similarity, "The Simpsons" As Art?, A Writers' Paradise, and Universal Appeal".

Someday, we promise we'll go back and fix all the awkward and embarassing errors in our editorials (spelling, logical, and otherwise). Until then, check out the bottom of the list for samples of what we sounded like when we were younger.

The satirical "What Will Happen in Season 17?" editorial is steadily approaching the point at which it will be out-of-date. It's mind-boggling that such an occurence is even possible.

Editorials

This section is the pride and joy of Eric, this section's principal ranter, but as well a few of these contributions are from the departed Ben Bromfield or the newcomer Jason Levy. This is a grab-bag of our (very) opinionated thoughts, about a variety of Simpsons topics. More often than not, one of these original articles will be spurned from an enlightening intellectual debate between two diehard Simpsons fans. Other times, they are just rants typed up at 1:00 A.M. Or, in very rare circumstances, someone who isn't the divine genius Eric is will contribute a worthy musing. But whatever you read, you will discover a personal insight into the show on a wide variety of topics. Enjoy!
