We used to post a bunch of warnings about how we know there are reasonable explanations for things, in order to try and stem the tide of e-mails informing us about animation errors, show politics, and the nuances of the random phenomena we seek to "interpret". A typical month would be four e-mails about Smithers, five about Duffman, and a random mix of five more regarding the others. We can't say it didn't remain entertaining.

Just to clarify: If you e-mail us about stuff on this page, you are stupid.

This section owes its origins to Ben Bromfield, Eric's first helper on this site. He came up with the Smithers theory that gets so much mail, and helped with the formulation of the ideas behind the first four. Props to him.

The theories section is easily the most sparse opinion section. We should work on that, we know. We feel appropriately chastised. We will work to be better in the future.

Theories

In this section of the site we tell about our mysterious theories. These theories usually expose the secrets of certain characters, and sometimes Springfield itself, or just attempt to explain massive continuity errors (i.e. writer screw-ups), and are always rambling and poorly written. So if you want to congratulate us on a great job (not likely), or just tell us we're stupid, visit the Contact page.
